Introducing myself and my professional activity

#1

Dear all

First of all, I must say that it is a huge pleasure for me to be part of this Forum.
Please let me introduce myself.
I am a Portuguese agent, I live in Northern Portugal and I have experience in several areas of products, such as knitwear, footwear, Gourmet products, home textiles, fashion.
I’m available to collaborate with new clients.
I would like to bring to the discussion the following: which types of Portuguese products may be interesting for the Dutch market?

Best regards for the entire CCPH Community

Hi Eugenia, perhaps a bit of a sidestep to your post, but maybe it would be nice to meet up with my wife Tânia who’s a pattern designer here in Lisbon, perhaps there are projects you are in need of a designer for and can collaborate on, see http://taniamargarido.pt, let me know if you’re interested and I’ll get you in touch…
Cheers,
Alex

Hi Eugenia,

Nice to meet you here at the forum. Since I have been looking for an independent commercial agent, therefore you might be a person with whom we can work together.
We are a high-end scented candles supplier in Portugal. Our candles come in premium metal jars (golden, rose gold and silver ones) and only sold to business/brands. You may get more information about our products at http://www.hometals.com/
If you are interested in working together, please let me know so that we can discuss further steps.

Many thanks,
Jorge

Hi Eugenia,

Thank you for your contribution. Many types of products may be interesting for the Dutch market, but in order for export to be viable you will have to carefully look at the break-even of potential products taking into account the fact that you have to make up for the transport of 2.500 km if the products are sold from Portugal. Volume, transport costs, sales margins, distribution costs etc are all part of the equation. The Chamber can help in finding out whether there is a market for your product: see here https://www.ccph.pt/exportpassport . We can find out if there is an interest for your product, we can found out what is the competition, what are the final sales prices and what are the best distribution channels to use. If there is a potential market, we can then introduce you to potential partners or clients. The costs related to this service are eligible via the so-called Vales de Internationalização within Portugal2020: http://www.portaldosincentivos.pt/index.php/vales-simplificados/vale-internacionalizacao
